Boswellic Acid is the active ingredient in the very popular Boswellia Serrata powder supplements. However, the content of boswellic acid can vary significantly between batches of boswellia serrata powder. Our highly concentrated, human food grade extract guarantees a minimum of 65% boswellic acid, which ensures consistent dosing for your horse at a low volume.
Boswellic acid is a natural anti-inflammatory agent and has been shown to inhibit the enzymes which are responsible for inflammation. It also reduces the rate at which the important glycos-amino-glycans like chondroitin and glucosamine are degraded in joints due to the ageing process or conditions like arthritis.
Interestingly, boswellic acid has also been shown to aid digestion and provide support for the colon.
